| Mad's Custom Cycles was started by Gregg
Roth in 1999. The company began with building custom
Harleys. Later we got into the sport bike market to build a
good-handling, attractive sport bike and metric cruiser.
These were the features that the average sport bike owner
could not achieve on their own. Mad's believes the sport bike and metric cruisers can be customized without compromising the performance and handling. We believe every motorcycle rider/owner wants to set his or her bike apart from the stock production image and personalize the bike to reflect their own tastes. We at Mad's listen to our customers' ideas and can help bring those ideas to life. The owner, Gregg Roth has been a motorcycle rider for 41 years. He raced pro motocross in the 70's and 80's. Then switched to desert with a partial sponsorship with Kawasaki. His love for motorcycles has driven him to start Mad's and pass on the ideas and concepts he has applied to his own machines. Some of his bikes were featured in Cycle World Magazine for innovative ideas that were viewed as unconventional by the industry at the time, but have now become common equipment supplied by many manufacturers. Gregg came up with the fat tire idea on the Harleys long before they were on the market. He worked with Jesse James rear fenders on the HD Deuce, creating his own look, which has now been adopted by companies such as Heartland USA. The way a "bike should look" is our concept here at Mad's, we hope to bring the custom look to our bikes that will remain timeless for years to come.
We are not open to the public and our projects are only started when the previous project is complete, we offer our undivided attention to each customer, we do it for the love of building custom bikes, not the money. Our by appointment schedule affords this luxury, so you must have the time and patience to get your bike the way you want it. We have just moved into a brand new larger building located in Oxnard, CA, we spend as much time working on our bikes as riding them.
